Mistfall Hunter Ciphers Guide
Ciphers are rare equippable abilities that amplify your class beyond its base skill set. Unlike weapons and armor, ciphers grant entirely new mechanics — burst abilities, passive multipliers and combat resets. Each cipher can be equipped once per loadout.
Ashen Cipher
LegendaryA fragment of script etched in ash-flame — a language spoken only by entities that exist between fire and death. Decoding it grants the wielder temporary mastery over that boundary.
All classes
Void Cipher
EpicA cipher that predates the current world. It does not so much grant power as remind the wielder of power they already had — specifically, the power to briefly not exist.
Shadowstrix, Sorcerer
Frost Cipher
RareAn ancient cipher carved into a shard of eternal ice. It slows the world around the wielder — or at least, the parts of the world that bleed.

How Ciphers Work
Active Ciphers
Triggered manually with a dedicated cipher key. High burst payoff, combat-window timing required.
Passive Ciphers
Always active while equipped. Modify base mechanics — extend slows, boost crit, add element damage.
Enhancement Ciphers
Hybrid ciphers with both passive and a once-per-combat active component. Most complex category.
Only one cipher can be equipped at a time. Cipher slots unlock at character level 20. Class-restricted ciphers show the class requirement on the equip screen.
